RGM, imagine you are an industry hiring manager who has two job candidates with identical qualifications in front of you, with the exception that one of them has had a year of industry experience doing the job, and the other has only academic experience.

Who would you hire?

The question isn't if you are qualified. It is whether there are other candidates who are MORE qualified than you (or at least better at selling their qualifications).

Kevin
